July 1, 2025 marked a special moment in the life of Gateway GMC. Fifteen years ago, we opened our doors with a simple commitment: to serve our community, our customers, and each other with integrity, care, and purpose. Fifteen years later, that commitment still defines who we are, not just as a business, but as a family.
A Culture Built to Last
From the beginning, we’ve believed that the true foundation of success isn’t just sales numbers, it’s the people.
We cultivate a culture that prioritizes the customer and prioritizes the employee. That means listening, caring, and doing what’s right for those we serve, and those who serve.
It’s been amazing to see long-tenured employees, many here for 10 to 15 years. Their loyalty is a sign not just that we do good work, but that we build something worth staying for.

When you spend time here, it feels less like clocking in, and more like being part of something bigger. The attitude isn’t “just do my job,” but “how can we make this better, together?”
It’s clear: the team is what makes Gateway great. We lift each other up, share the load, and celebrate the wins together.
And while we work hard, we know how to enjoy ourselves too. One of the craziest things? Our infamous golf-cart races, reminding us we can be both dedicated and have fun because a joyful workplace serves customers better.
Community First: Giving Back Because We Care
Our love for this community goes beyond the showroom. We believe in giving where care is needed most.
We’re actively involved with the school district, providing funds to assist with uniforms, supporting kids so they can feel confident and prepared. Every year we work with Do It For Durrett a charity which offers not just financial support but emotional solidarity for those who have experienced sudden loss or hardship. Your struggles become ours, and we believe compassion is something we practice together.

Being privately owned by Charles, and with just one store, means we have the freedom to keep our focus sharp: on you, our customer, and on our team. Decisions are made with care and with heart, not to please shareholders, but to serve our customers and team.
